Step Forward Despite Uncertainty
Reading: Deuteronomy 31:1-8; 2 Corinthians 5:6-7
Devotional: You're standing at your Jordan River. You know what God is calling you to do, but you can't see how it will work out. The Israelites couldn't see the outcome; they only knew God's command to move forward. Being strong and courageous means willingness to step forward when the path is unclear, to trust God's presence over your circumstances, to obey regardless of cost. Age doesn't disqualify you; Joshua was 80-85 when he finally led. Uncertainty doesn't disqualify you; God specializes in unclear paths. Your next right thing may cost you something, but you were bought with the precious blood of Christ. So, take the step. Cross your Jordan. God goes before you.
Reflection: What is your "next right thing," and what's keeping you from doing it today?
