The Weight of Sin

Apr 6, 2026

Reading: Romans 5:12-21

Devotional: Sin entered the world through one man, and with it came death—a reality we all face. Every ache in our bodies, every funeral we attend, every loss we experience reminds us that we live under this curse. The weight of sin grows heavier with each passing day, like a stone tied around our necks. But here's the beautiful paradox: where sin increased, grace abounded all the more. Jesus didn't minimize the seriousness of sin; He took it upon Himself. Today, acknowledge the weight you've been carrying. Confess the sins that burden you. Remember that Christ didn't come to ignore your sin but to become sin for you, so you could be free.

Reflection: What burdens of sin are you carrying today that you need to lay at the cross?
