Endurance through the Waiting

Jun 3, 2026

Reading: Joshua 6:15; Romans 5:3-5; James 1:2-4

Devotional: Day four. Day five. Day six. Still marching. Still no cracks in the walls. Somebody must have wondered, "Is this working?" We live in an instant culture, expecting immediate transformation. But God often develops faith in the waiting. Suffering produces perseverance; perseverance produces character; character produces hope. The goal was never just collapsing walls; it was transforming people. While Israel waited for circumstances to change, God was changing them.

Reflection: What have you been praying for without seeing results? Healing? Restoration? Direction? Peace? Your prayers are not falling on deaf ears. God is still working even when you see no movement. The same endurance being built in you will sustain you through future battles. Keep walking. The seventh day is coming, but the journey to get there matters just as much as the destination
