Fight Like Heaven

Apr 3, 2026

Reading: Romans 13:14; Romans 6:12-14

Devotional: You've been bought with a price; Christ's very blood. Now live like it. Put on the Lord Jesus Christ and make no provision for the flesh. This isn't about earning grace; you already have it. This is about living as a recipient of such costly love. Genuine followers don't make allowances for sin. They fight. Not perfectly (we're human and will stumble) but persistently. Start where the Holy Spirit is already convicting you. If you feel no conviction from the Spirit, that should concern you deeply. Either the Spirit isn't dwelling in you, or you've grieved Him so consistently your heart has grown callous. Ask trusted believers to help you see your blind spots. Don't rush past Good Friday to get to Easter Sunday. Sit with the weight of what Christ endured. Then rise and fight like heaven to honor the One who died to set you free.

Reflection Question: What does it mean to fight like heaven against your sin, and what would that battle look like in the specific areas where the Holy Spirit is currently prompting you?
