Salvation Is for Your Household
Reading: Acts 16:25-34
Devotional: Rahab's first concern was not her own safety but the salvation of her entire family. She pleaded with the spies to spare her father, mother, brothers, sisters, and all who belonged to them. This same heart should beat within every believer. When the Philippian jailer asked Paul, "What must I do to be saved?" Paul responded, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household." Parents and grandparents carry the primary responsibility for bringing children into the household of faith.
Reflection: Your children cannot live on your faith; they must make it their own. But you are God's chosen instrument to guide them there. What are you willing to sacrifice to see your family secure in God's family?
